Dr Ali Joma, senior Egyptian mufti suggest the foundation of a secretariat among world Muslim countries with the aim of unifying religious decrees.
A next step to achieve the goal, the proposal has been sent to Muslim countries including the Republic of Sudan, Syria, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Oman and also Bosnia to get a general feedback.
This proposal has received the green light from Islamic centers like, Islamic Fiq'h Assembly of Jeda, Islamic Fiq'h Assembly of India, Islamic Center of Indonesia and International Wasatia (Moderation) Center in Kuwait.
Fatwa Unity Plan is a plan which aims at preventing multiplicity of religious decrees through a widespread investigation of the statement prior to it's being issued.
It is noteworthy to mention that excommunicating fatwas in Muslim world have led to several cases of violence claiming several victims among Muslims.
The move to launch a secretariat for unified decrees would be a strong counter move to some provoking disputable issues among Muslims.
